Man arrested on burglary, larceny charges in Walton

WALTON, NY — A 26-year-old man faces burglary and grand larceny charges following incidents in the Village of Walton.

Jacob Roman, of Walton, was arrested Friday by Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies on charges stemming from an October incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Benton Avenue on the evening of Oct. 18 for a reported burglary in progress, according to Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.

Roman was located, identified and arrested at the scene on multiple charges.

Authorities allege Roman took the victim’s credit card and made numerous unauthorized purchases totaling more than $1,500.

Roman was charged with two counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, both Class E felonies, and one count of burglary in the second degree, a Class C felony.

He was transported to the Delaware County Correctional Facility to await arraignment at CAP Court.
