MONKTON, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating after a man was found dead at a fishing access area Tuesday morning.
Troopers responded to the Lewis Creek Fishing Access at approximately 8:25 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive male.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Vermont State Police detectives responded to investigate.
The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Police said the death is not considered suspicious and there is no cause for public concern.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
