PENN YAN, NY — A 45-year-old man was arrested following a knife assault at a local establishment.
Frederick R. Dillingham, of Penn Yan, was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
Police responded to a complaint of an assault involving a knife.
Dillingham allegedly took possession of a knife and cut another village resident across the leg, causing injury.
He was located a short time later and taken into custody without incident.
Dillingham was transported to the Yates County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
