Woman arrested on multiple warrants in North Kingstown

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A woman was arrested early Monday on multiple outstanding warrants and a drug charge.

Troopers arrested Sydney K. Stedman, 29, of Wakefield, at 2:46 a.m. Monday at the Wickford Barracks.

Stedman was wanted on a Superior Court full bench warrant for failure to appear for sentencing on a charge of first-degree robbery originating from the South Kingstown Police Department.

She also was wanted on a Superior Court full bench warrant for failure to appear for sentencing on a charge of possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance originating from the South Kingstown Police Department.

Stedman faced a Superior Court full bench warrant for failure to appear for sentencing on a charge of domestic violence – simple assault and/or battery originating from the South Kingstown Police Department.

She was wanted on a Superior Court full bench warrant for failure to appear for sentencing on two counts of domestic violence originating from the South Kingstown Police Department.

Stedman also was wanted on a Fourth District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pre-trial conference on an original charge of domestic violence originating from the South Kingstown Police Department.

She was charged with possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance.
