SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police arrested a Manchester man Thursday on an active arrest warrant charging him with conspiracy to commit larceny.
James D. Vernon, 38, of Manchester, turned himself in at police headquarters at 3:29 p.m.
The charge stems from a May larceny at Sunglass Hut in which approximately $700 worth of items were stolen.
Police determined Vernon was the getaway driver in the larceny and placed a different license plate on the vehicle in an effort to avoid being identified.
Vernon was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 9 a.m.
