EAST LYME, CT — A New London woman was arrested on multiple burglary charges following a series of residential break-ins in September.
Luise Velasco, 47, of New London, was taken into custody on 17 arrest warrants, according to the East Lyme Police Department.
Police responded to a rash of residential burglaries in September.
Officers increased patrol details and detectives conducted investigative work that led to the identification of a suspect.
Velasco was charged with 12 counts of burglary, five counts of attempted burglary, two counts of larceny in the third degree, larceny in the fourth degree, two counts of larceny in the fifth degree, four counts of larceny in the sixth degree and seven counts of criminal mischief.
She was held on a court-set $770,000 bond.
Velasco is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 1.
