GEORGIA, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Interstate 89 on Nov. 28.
Police received a 911 call at 6 p.m. regarding a crash in the northbound lane near mile marker 105.
Zander Herbert, 23, of St. Albans, was operating a 2012 Ford Focus when the vehicle struck the left lane guardrail and entered the median of the interstate, according to statements and on-scene investigation.
The damaged guardrail created a traffic hazard.
Emergency services arrived on scene and mitigated the hazard.
Herbert sustained minor injuries and was transported to Northwestern Medical Center.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
Herbert was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
