Driver injured in crash in Paris

PARIS, NY — A Harpursville man was injured after his vehicle struck a guardrail on a slippery road Nov. 28.

Robert Frey, 26, was driving a 2005 Toyota Rav-4 northbound on State Route 8 around 8:40 a.m. when he collided with a guardrail on the eastern shoulder at the intersection of State Route 8 and Oneida Street, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

The crash was caused by slippery road conditions, deputies determined.

Frey was transported to Wynn Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

He was issued tickets returnable to Paris Town Court.

Edwards Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.

The Clayville Fire Department and COCVAC Ambulance assisted deputies at the scene.
