BETHEL, VT — Vermont State Police have cited a woman in connection with the theft of desktop computers from the Bethel Town Library.
Troopers from the Royalton Barracks began investigating the theft on Oct. 6 at approximately 2:35 p.m.
Two desktop computers were reported stolen from the library in Windsor County.
One of the stolen computers has been recovered by law enforcement.
The investigation identified Ashley Osmer, 37, of Bethel, as a suspect.
Police executed a search warrant at Osmer’s residence on Nov. 24.
Osmer was issued a criminal citation for possession of stolen property.
She is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windsor Criminal Division on Jan. 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
