FALMOUTH, ME — A Portland man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Walmart store earlier this month.
Brian Gallerani, 40, of Portland, was charged Nov. 26 with robbery, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, according to the Falmouth Police Department.
Police said a masked suspect entered the Walmart just before 8 p.m. Nov. 14, displayed a handgun and demanded money from a cash register.
The money was surrendered and the suspect fled the store in a vehicle, police said.
No one was injured during the incident.
Gallerani is currently incarcerated at the York County Jail for a probation violation.
The investigation involved the Biddeford, Portland and South Portland police departments.
