ST JOHNSBURY, VT — A St Johnsbury man was arrested on an outstanding warrant Nov. 26.
Rafael Owens, 43, of St Johnsbury, was taken into custody at approximately 9:47 p.m. on Elm Street.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks were on patrol in the area when they learned Owens had an outstanding warrant.
Troopers located Owens at his residence shortly thereafter.
The warrant was for a charge of domestic assault, a misdemeanor.
After confirming his identity and the warrant, Owens was taken into custody.
He was transported to the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
Owens was cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Dec. 1 at 12:30 p.m.
He was then transported to Northeast Correctional Complex, where he was held on $200 bail.
