RICHMOND, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a 56-year-old man on a driving under the influence charge following reports of erratic driving on Nov. 27.
Police received multiple 911 calls at approximately 3:37 p.m. reporting a vehicle operating erratically in the Hinesburg and Richmond area.
Troopers intercepted the vehicle on Interstate 89 in Richmond near Exit 11 and conducted a traffic stop.
The operator was identified as Casimir Chlodnicki, 56, of Cornwall.
While speaking with Chlodnicki, troopers detected several indicators of impairment, according to police.
Chlodnicki was screened for driving under the influence and placed under arrest.
He was transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.
Chlodnicki was released on citation to appear at Chittenden County Superior Court-Criminal Division on Dec. 18 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the DUI charge.
