Two arrested in North Kingstown

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — State police made two arrests Tuesday at the Wickford Barracks.

At 4:36 p.m., troopers arrested Dayanne Costa, 36, of Portsmouth, on an affidavit arrest warrant.

Costa was charged with obtaining money under false pretenses over $10,000, fraudulently obtaining public assistance over $500, and providing false documents to a public official.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation.

Costa was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace at the barracks and released with a future Third Division District Court date.

At 10:46 p.m., troopers arrested Jonathan Moore, 50, of West Warwick, on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation on Route 95 in Warwick.

Moore was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
