PENN YAN, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Chapel Street and Liberty Street on Nov. 12.
Police said Timothy Babcock failed to yield the right of way to a pedestrian who was walking south in the crosswalk on Chapel Street.
The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Babcock was issued a uniform traffic ticket for failure to yield the right of way.
The Penn Yan Fire Department and Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance Corp assisted at the scene.
