HALIFAX, VT — Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks received multiple calls about a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway on Vermont Route 112 at Branch Road at approximately 10:38 p.m. Oct. 16.
Troopers responded and identified signs of impairment in the driver.
Brian Walsh, 36, of Webster, Massachusetts, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
A search found Walsh to be in possession of heroin.
He was taken to the Wilmington Police Department and processed.
Walsh was released with a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on Dec. 30 to answer to the charges.
