SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police arrested a woman on drug possession and warrant charges after she was a passenger in a vehicle that fled from officers during a traffic stop.
Nicole M. Ranney, 38, of South Windsor, was taken into custody at 10:53 p.m. Friday.
Police said Ranney was the passenger in a vehicle that fled from police during an attempted traffic stop.
When Ranney was located, police determined she had an active failure to appear arrest warrant.
Police said Ranney was found in possession of five wax folds containing fentanyl.
Ranney was charged with possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear in the second degree.
She was held on $15,000 surety bond.
Ranney appeared in Manchester Superior Court on Saturday at 9 a.m.
