WATERBURY, CT — A 22-year-old man was arrested after an attempted robbery at a Bank Street store on Nov. 11.
Waterbury Police Department Patrol Division responded to 474 Bank Street at 8:41 p.m. for a report of an active robbery.
Police said Ethan Quackenbush, of Waterbury, entered the store wearing a ski mask and demanded money while signaling with his hand in his pocket that he had a weapon.
Quackenbush left the store empty-handed after the store worker refused to comply with his demands.
Police later located and arrested Quackenbush.
Investigators determined no weapon was used and Quackenbush was not in possession of a weapon during the incident.
Quackenbush was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.
