SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police arrested a local man on charges stemming from an alleged theft of a customer’s vehicle at his detailing business.
Ryan O. Viera, 30, of South Windsor, was taken into custody at 8:18 p.m. Monday on an active arrest warrant.
The charges stem from an incident in September in which Viera and his business, Groundwork Detailing, were given a customer’s vehicle to perform work.
Police determined during their investigation that Viera drove the victim’s vehicle as his own without her permission.
Viera would not return the victim’s calls when she asked about the vehicle’s whereabouts, according to police.
Viera was located at his business and taken into custody.
He was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, criminal trover in the second degree and operating under suspension.
Viera was processed and released on a $25,000 surety bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 10 at 9 a.m.
