RUPERT, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a man following an investigation into a cruelty to a child complaint.
John K. Richardson, 40, of Rupert, was taken into custody on Nov. 25.
Police said Richardson caused injury to a 9-year-old juvenile from Winhall at a residence in Rupert on Oct. 5.
The investigation began in early October.
Richardson was released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Nov. 26 at 12:30 p.m.
