WEYMOUTH, MA — Police arrested a Quincy man Tuesday following an attempted bank robbery at Eastern Bank on Washington Street.

Thomas P. Bois Jr., 41, of Quincy, was taken into custody after officers responded to the bank at 1150 Washington Street at approximately 3:50 p.m.

Police said Bois entered the bank wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gloves before fleeing on foot.

Officers located a man matching the suspect’s description riding a bicycle a short time later.

Detectives reviewed surveillance footage that showed Bois handing a note to a teller demanding money.

No weapon was mentioned or displayed during the incident.

Bois left the bank without obtaining any cash and was later seen on video attempting to change his appearance, police said.

Bois was charged with attempt to commit a crime (unarmed robbery), larceny under $1,200 and a default warrant from Boston District Court for larceny under $1,200.

He was arraigned Wednesday in Quincy District Court and is being held in custody.
