BROCKPORT, NY — Police cited 35 people for possessing or using fraudulent identification during a multi-agency enforcement action at a village bar.
The Brockport Police Department, New York State Liquor Authority and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles conducted the coordinated detail on Oct. 18 at Mason’s Pub and Pizzeria at 26 Clinton Street.
The enforcement action followed months of investigative work into alleged state license violations at the establishment, according to Police Chief Paul G. Wheat.
Officers found 85 patrons under age 21 inside the bar during the operation.
Many of those patrons had no identification, police said.
The 35 individuals received 37 citations for possession or use of fraudulent identification.
The business voluntarily surrendered its liquor license following the enforcement action and has remained closed.
State agencies are considering penalties against the owner and business.
