NEW HAVEN, VT — A Middlebury man faces charges of driving under the influence of drugs and cocaine possession following a traffic earlier this month.
Vermont State Police stopped Dana J. Drown, 52, at approximately 8:26 p.m. Nov. 11 on U.S. Route 7 near the intersection with Hunt Road after observing a motor vehicle violation.
Troopers observed indicators of impairment while speaking with Drown and arrested him on suspicion of DUI-drug.
Drown was transported to the Vergennes Police Department for processing and released with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Jan. 5, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
On Nov. 20, troopers executed a search warrant on Drown’s vehicle and discovered cocaine that had been in his possession.
The Vergennes Police Department and Middlebury Police Department assisted with the investigation.
