HOOSICK FALLS, NY — A woman was arrested Sunday following a police pursuit from earlier in the month and on drug charges after officers found her in possession of crack cocaine.
Sara M. Klebbe, 34, of Hoosick Falls, was taken into custody at approximately 9:50 a.m. on Church Street in the village.
Police said an officer observed a motor vehicle committing vehicle and traffic violations while traveling on Danforth Street at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 17.
The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to stop and led officers on a pursuit, according to police.
Police said the operator drove in a manner showing complete disregard for public safety.
The pursuit ended in Vermont, where officers discontinued the chase.
During the pursuit, officers were able to see the operator and identified her as Klebbe, a person known to them from prior interactions, police said.
When officers took Klebbe into custody Sunday, she was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to police.
Klebbe was charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operator, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
She was processed and released on an appearance ticket to appear in Hoosick Falls Village Court on Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
