Single-vehicle crash leads to DUI arrest in Guilford

GUILFORD, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a motorist on suspicion of DUI following a single-vehicle crash on Guilford Center Road on Nov. 22.

Jocelyn Pond, 36, of Brattleboro, was driving a 2011 Toyota Highlander north on Guilford Center Road near Tater Lane at 3:46 p.m. when she left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.

During the investigation, Pond showed signs of impairment, police said.

Pond was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing.

The front end of the vehicle was damaged in the crash.

Pond was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.

She was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Dec. 9 at 8:30 a.m.
