BENSON, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Lake Road near Morris Lane at 6:54 p.m. on Nov. 21.
The Benson Fire Department found the vehicle, a 2010 Dodge 1500, unoccupied at the scene.
Investigation determined that the driver, Hunter Jones, 24, of Brandon, caused front-end damage to the vehicle and struck a telephone pole.
Jones sustained minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.
He was later located by police and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Rutland Criminal Division on Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
The weather at the time was clear and road conditions were dry.
