Utica man arrested after knife incident at county office building

UTICA, NY — A Utica man was arrested after reportedly brandishing a pocketknife during a verbal dispute at the Oneida County Office Building on Park Avenue on Nov. 21 at about 1:38 p.m.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, Jahmir G. Coleman-Green Jr., 24, of Utica, entered the Department of Social Services Intake 2, where he had an argument with other individuals before displaying a pocketknife in the open position.

Coleman-Green Jr. was taken into custody and transported to the Oneida County Courthouse booking room, where he was processed.

He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor under New York State Penal Law.

Coleman-Green Jr. was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Utica City Court and was released.
