UNION, NY — A New York State Trooper and another driver were injured in a collision on State Route 17C near Chaumont Drive on November 21 at approximately 8:10 a.m.
The Trooper from SP Endwell was traveling westbound when a Toyota Camry, operated by a 69-year-old woman, failed to yield the right of way while making a left turn into the parking lot of the Town of Union office building.
The two vehicles collided.
The Trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.
The driver of the Toyota Camry, a resident of Endwell, was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
One westbound lane of Route 17C was closed during the investigation.
The incident is under investigation by authorities.
