WESTMINSTER, VT — Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon after Vermont State Police discovered suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl during a traffic stop on Interstate 91 North in Westminster.
A trooper conducted the stop at 12:37 p.m. for a motor vehicle violation.
During the investigation, police identified the passenger, Kenneth Pilner, 48, of Los Angeles, as a wanted individual for outstanding drug-related offenses.
The driver, Chantz Dudley, 21, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was also taken into custody.
Both men were transported to the State Police Barracks, and the vehicle was seized.
After obtaining a search warrant, authorities located suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl inside the vehicle.
Pilner was transferred to the custody of Rutland City Police.
Dudley was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Dudley was issued a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Nov. 21 at 12:30 p.m. to answer charges of cocaine possession of one ounce or more, fentanyl trafficking, and transporting fentanyl into the state.
