Search ongoing for missing woman in Cheektowaga

CHEEKTOWAGA, NY — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing woman last seen in the Village of Sloan.

According to the Cheektowaga Police Department, Melissa Dunworth, 48, was last spotted in the Broadway area and was believed to be heading toward the Buffalo Public Library in downtown Buffalo.

Dunworth is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 230 pounds, with blonde curly hair.

She was last seen wearing a red, white, and blue Tommy Hilfiger jacket, a red tee shirt, jeans or leggings, and black Nike sneakers.

Police said Dunworth may also be in the Sweet Ave area.
