Two-vehicle crash reported in Ripton

RIPTON, VT — Troopers from the New Haven Barracks were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 125 near Lincoln Road at approximately 2:27 p.m. Nov. 19.

Upon arrival, troopers identified the operator of vehicle No. 1 as Brenda Foley, 63, of Manchester, N.H., and the operator of vehicle No. 2 as Lucy Parker, 40, of Ripton.

The investigation showed that vehicle No. 2 had come to a stop on the road because a truck traveling in the opposite direction had gone over the center line of the roadway.

Vehicle No. 1 did not stop in time before striking vehicle No. 2.

Foley was driving a 2018 Subaru Outback, which sustained front-end damage.

Parker was driving a 2022 Subaru Crosstrek, which sustained rear-end damage.

Both operators were wearing seat belts.

No injuries were reported and no one was transported to a hospital.

Vermont State Police was assisted by the Addison County Sheriff’s Office and the Ripton Fire Department.
