NORWALK, CT — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Connecticut Avenue on Nov. 18.
Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple 911 calls at 5:50 p.m. reporting that a pedestrian had been struck in the area of 600 Connecticut Avenue.
Norwalk Police, Norwalk Fire Department and Norwalk Hospital EMS responded to the scene.
Patrol officers found an adult male pedestrian in the westbound lanes of Connecticut Avenue and began providing emergency medical care.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was transported by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital with serious injuries.
The Norwalk Police Crash Reconstruction Unit and Identification Unit responded to process the scene.
Based on preliminary findings, the pedestrian was walking south across the westbound lanes of Connecticut Avenue, outside of a designated crosswalk, when he was struck.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
