BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A motorcyclist was critically injured in a three-vehicle collision on U.S. Route 130 on Monday evening.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:27 p.m. in the area of Route 130 and Parker Avenue, according to the Burlington Township Police Department.
A motorcycle operated by a 53-year-old man from Bristol, Pennsylvania, was traveling northbound on Route 130 when it was struck by a Volkswagen SUV, police said.
The impact ejected the motorcyclist into the southbound lanes, where he was believed to have been struck a second time by a Honda Accord.
The victim sustained serious injuries and received immediate care from police officers, EMS personnel and Virtua Paramedics before being airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
He is currently listed in critical condition.
No injuries were reported by the drivers of the other involved vehicles.
All involved drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating fully with the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation by the Burlington Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit and the Detective Bureau.
