RANDOLPH, VT — A man was taken into custody at a local hospital after making threatening statements toward another person.

Randy Oakes, 66, of Bethel, was arrested at Gifford Medical Center at approximately 11:21 a.m. Wednesday.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks responded to the medical center after receiving a report of an individual making threatening statements.
