BOSTON, MA — A 17-year-old male was arrested on firearm charges after police recovered a loaded Glock handgun during a warrant execution Tuesday morning.

Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force responded to an address in South Boston about 10 a.m. to locate Antonio Walker, 18, of Boston, who had an outstanding warrant issued out of South Boston District Court for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Threat to Commit a Crime.

Walker was placed into handcuffs, and officers conducted a protective sweep of the apartment.

During the sweep, officers located a second suspect inside a locked bathroom who refused to open the door.

After multiple requests, the suspect exited the bathroom, and a backpack was observed leaning against a wall where the suspect was standing.

Officers conducted a pat frisk of the backpack and recovered a firearm from inside.

The firearm was determined to be a Glock 19 with eight rounds inside an extended magazine that was capable of holding thirty-one total rounds.

The juvenile was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, and Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device.
