HARTLAND, VT — A New Hampshire man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 South late Monday night.
Phillip L. Falk, 47, of Newport, New Hampshire, was taken into custody after his 2017 BMW X1 struck a guardrail on an interstate bridge near Mile Marker 66 around 11:49 p.m.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks responded to the crash and found the black BMW with damage to the passenger side front end.
During the investigation, troopers observed signs of impairment.
Falk was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
No injuries were reported, and no one was transported to a hospital.
Falk was cited and released.
He is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court (Windsor) Criminal Division on Jan. 27 at 8:30 a.m.
