RAMAPO, NY — Police are investigating a violent robbery and assault that occurred on East Hickory Street in the Hillcrest area.
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at approximately 10:45 p.m. Thursday.
Upon arrival, officers located a female victim who reported that she had been approached by an unidentified male suspect wearing a mask and dark clothing.
The suspect threatened the victim with a knife and robbed her before fleeing the area.
The victim sustained serious injuries during the incident and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
She is currently reported to be in stable condition.
The Ramapo Police Department Investigations Division is actively investigating this incident and seeking assistance from the public.
