School bus collides with car in Bolton

BOLTON, MA — Bolton Police, Fire and EMS responded to the intersection of Main Street and Burnham Road for reports of a motor vehicle collision involving a school bus on Nov. 18 at approximately 2:09 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles: a Honda Element with front end damage and a school bus that had left the roadway and come to rest in a wooded area, sustaining both front and rear-end damage.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the school bus was exiting Burnham Road to enter Main Street (Route 117) before it struck the Honda, which was traveling westbound on Main Street.

The bus was occupied only by the driver and contained no students.

The Honda was occupied by the driver and one passenger.

Neither driver reported injuries.

The Honda’s passenger was suspected to have sustained minor injuries, was evaluated by EMS at the scene, and declined transport to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
