Man arrested in menacing incident in Albany

ALBANY, NY — A 30-year-old Albany man has been charged in connection with a menacing incident that occurred Monday evening on Westerlo Street.

Officers responded to a residence on Westerlo Street near South Pearl Street around 9:40 p.m. for reports of a person with a weapon.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Trequan Clow had been involved in a verbal dispute with a neighbor, during which he threatened her with a handgun.

Clow was located on scene and subsequently taken into custody.

There were no injuries reported at the time of the incident.

Members from the Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at Clow’s residence in reference to the incident.

During the search warrant, detectives recovered a loaded handgun.

Clow has been charged with one count of menacing in the second degree, one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court Tuesday morning.
