ST. GEORGE, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on VT Route 116 early Sunday morning.
Troopers were called to the area of 7351 VT Route 116 at approximately 2:53 a.m. Nov. 16.
Police found a Ford F-150 off the southbound shoulder in a ditch with significant damage.
Evidence at the scene showed the vehicle struck a telephone pole, causing property damage.
The operator of the vehicle left the scene without reporting the crash, police said.
The operator was later identified as Cole Manchester, 21, of Bristol.
Manchester was located and issued a citation to appear at Chittenden County Superior Court to answer to the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
