NAUGATUCK, CT — Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a double stabbing that occurred on Margaret Circle.
Stanley Santana, of Naugatuck, was arrested on New Haven Road shortly after officers responded to a reported physical assault involving a knife on Nov. 16.
Police were called to the scene shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Santana was taken into custody without incident, and a knife was recovered from him, according to police.
Police said Santana had fled his residence on foot after stabbing two adult household members.
The victims’ injuries were serious, and they were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
Their conditions are now listed as stable.
Santana has been charged with assault in the first degree, carrying a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.
He was held on a $750,000 bond pending his arraignment at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 17.
