WORCESTER, MA — A man faces drug and firearm charges following the execution of a search warrant on Vernon Street.
Francisco Rivera, 39, of Worcester, was arrested by Worcester Police Department Vice Squad detectives on Nov. 17.
Vice detectives had obtained a search warrant for an apartment on Vernon Street with Rivera as the named target.
At approximately 11:15 a.m., Vice detectives observed Rivera exit the residence and drive away in a vehicle.
Knowing Rivera had a suspended license, detectives stopped him, placed him under arrest, and brought him back to the residence.
Vice detectives entered the apartment and secured three females.
A search of the apartment revealed approximately 16 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale and a loaded high-capacity firearm under the pillow in Rivera’s bedroom.
Rivera was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and numerous firearms charges.
