OLEAN, NY — A 26-year-old man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Delaware Avenue late Friday night.
Layton T. Walker, of Olean, was stopped at approximately 11:58 p.m. for a vehicle and traffic law infraction, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
During the stop, Walker provided the name Isaac D. Parnell in an attempt to impersonate another person, authorities said.
Walker’s identity was confirmed using a prior mugshot.
He was found to have two active felony bench warrants issued out of Cattaraugus County Court and an active felony arrest warrant out of New York State Police.
Walker was taken into custody without incident.
A search incident to arrest revealed Walker was in possession of a quantity of suspected fentanyl, according to authorities.
A subsequent vehicle search uncovered a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, a suboxone strip, a dilutant, a large quantity of packaging material, two scales and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Walker was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell a narcotic drug, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, second-degree criminal impersonation, unlicensed operator and operating a motor vehicle with distorted or broken glass.
He was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail where he was held on the Cattaraugus County Court warrants.
Walker is due in court at a later date.
