Employee arrested on larceny charge in Auburn

AUBURN, NY — A cleaner accused of stealing money from a bar’s cash register was arrested Nov. 17.

Karlston Thomas, 51, of Auburn, was detained by New York State Parole during a routine check-in.

Auburn Police responded and took Thomas into custody.

Police said Thomas took money from the cash register at Kosta’s Bar & Grill on six occasions in September, totaling approximately $1,500.

An arrest warrant was obtained from Auburn City Court.

Thomas was arraigned in Auburn City Court and lodged at Cayuga County Jail.

He was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony.
