PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was arrested early Saturday on multiple outstanding warrants following a traffic stop.
Luis Hernandez, 40, of Providence, was taken into custody at 3:05 a.m. on Broad Street.
State Police said Hernandez was wanted on five Providence Superior Court bench warrants for failure to appear for sentencing.
The warrants stemmed from charges originating with the Providence Police Department, including three counts of breaking and entering, first-degree sexual assault and possession of a controlled substance.
Hernandez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
