Two arrested on drug charges in Rutland

RUTLAND, MA — Two people were arrested early this morning after police executed a search warrant at 116 Ridge Road.

The warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation prompted by numerous police responses and resident complaints about the address, according to the Rutland Police Department.

Paul Ward, 47, of Rutland, was charged with possession of a Class A drug (fentanyl), subsequent offense, and possession of a Class B drug (crack cocaine).

Ashley Boucher, 31, of Rutland, was arrested on an outstanding drug possession warrant from Gardner District Court.

Both were transported to East Brookfield Court.

Rutland police detectives were assisted by the DEA Worcester HIDTA, the Northern Worcester County Drug Task Force and the CEMLEC Drone Unit.
