Man arrested on drug charges in Sand Lake

SAND LAKE, NY — State Police arrested a East Greenbush man on drug charges after he allegedly tried to dispose of narcotics while being taken into custody.

Chad M. Jeseo, 39, of East Greenbush, was arrested Nov. 7 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and tampering with physical evidence.

Troopers were assisting in locating Jeseo at about 1:28 p.m. in the area of State Route 150 due to an ongoing investigation by the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeseo was found in an outbuilding at his home.

While being taken into custody, Jeseo attempted to dispose of multiple items in his pockets, which included two bags containing felony weight narcotics that later field-tested positive for methamphetamine, police said.

Jeseo was turned over to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office due to pending charges.

After he was processed by that agency, he was turned back over to State Police and transported to State Police Schodack for processing.

Jeseo was arraigned at Schodack Town Court and released under the supervision of the Rensselaer County Probation Department.
