SCHUYLER LAKE, NY — State Police arrested a 43-year-old man on a felony burglary charge following an assault at a residence on State Route 28.
Todd Edward Seamon, of Hartwick, was taken into custody just after 9 p.m. Nov. 12 and charged with first-degree burglary, a class B felony.
Troopers from the Richfield Springs barracks responded to a report of a burglary in the village where a victim had been assaulted.
An investigation revealed that Seamon forced entry into a 77-year-old’s home following an ongoing dispute and struck the victim multiple times, causing injuries.
The victim was transported to Bassett Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Seamon was processed and transported to the Otsego County Correctional Facility for centralized arraignment.
