COLONIE, NY — State Police arrested a Troy man on Nov. 12 following a road rage incident on Interstate 787.
Juan J. Lopez Munoz, 25, of Troy, was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
Troopers responded to the area of Henry Johnson Boulevard at about 8:29 a.m. for a report of a road rage incident.
The investigation determined the victim and Lopez Munoz were involved in a road rage incident while traveling southbound on I-787.
During the incident, Lopez Munoz allegedly threw an item from his vehicle, striking and breaking the rear windshield of the victim’s vehicle and causing more than $250 worth of damage.
Lopez Munoz then fled from the scene while the victim pulled over and contacted 911.
Lopez Munoz later surrendered himself to State Police Latham, where he was arrested and processed.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Colonie Town Court on Dec. 3 and released.
