CORINTH, NY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested two adults Tuesday in connection with an investigation that began Nov. 5.
Gairelyn L. O’Donnell, 42, and Fred E. O’Donnell, 42, both of Corinth, were each charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, class A misdemeanors.
Both are accused of knowingly acting in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental or moral welfare of four children less than 17 years old.
Gairelyn O’Donnell was also charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony.
She is accused of intentionally causing physical injury to another person by striking them with a whip-like object resulting in significant bruising and lacerations.
A minor was also arrested in connection with the case and charged with second-degree assault.

Gairelyn and Fred O’Donnell were both arraigned before Judge Michael T. Woodcock in Corinth Town Court.
Gairelyn O’Donnell was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail.
Fred O’Donnell was released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.
The minor was arraigned before Judge Sean Piasecki in Charlton Town Court and remanded to the custody of the Office of Children and Family Services pending proceedings in the Youth Part of the Saratoga County Court.
