JAMESTOWN, RI — A Pawtucket woman was arrested on a drunken driving charge following a motor vehicle accident on Route 138.
Sandy De Burgo, 36, of Pawtucket, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of liquor, first offense.
State Police troopers responded to the accident on Route 138.
De Burgo was transported to Newport Hospital by rescue where she provided a blood sample.
She was then transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed.
De Burgo was held overnight at State Police Headquarters pending morning arraignment at Second Division District Court.
Blood test results are pending.
